Beggars
Hall - Little Hallingbury
How
to get there
From the
M11 Roundabout take the old A120 to Dunmow. At the Esso station
on the left take the road opposite to Little Hallingbury and follow
for a mile or so until you get to the Hop Poles pub. Turn left
here and take the 3rd lane leading to Beggars Hall (it does say
private road but we are obviously allow to use it !). Follow the
road to the house and the lake it to the right.
Park on the grass next to the field.
Species
Tench, Carp, Crucian, Bream, Roach, Perch
Methods
& Bait
Pole & ledgering are favourite but normal float tactics
work as well (floating crust in the summer gives good results).
Again
Chick pea, Luncheon meat, sweet corn, bread all catch quality
fish.
Maggots tend to attract the smaller fish....but ....?
