Malcolm Barker Lake
How to get there
Just as you come into Stortford from the Spellbrook side of town, after the traffic light at Thorley take
the next turning on the right (Pig Lane). Across the railway bridge then first left, continue until the end of
the lane - the lake is on the right.

River Stort
How to get there
Starts at the town bridge in Bishops Stortford and meanders down to Southmill Lock past the Malcolm Barker
Lake and Backwaterand onto Twyford Lock and finally to Spellbrook lock.
We also have another stretch of the River Stort at Harlow which starts at Harlow Mill towars Harlow Town
- our stretch is between the 2 notice boards.

Beggars Hall - Bedlars Green Nr Great Hallingbury

How to get there
From the M11 Roundabout(Bishops Stortford) take theB1256 (old A120) to Dunmow. At the Esso station on
the left take the road opposite to GreatHallingbury and follow for a mile or so until you get to the
"Sir John Houblen" pub. Turn left here and take the 3rd lane leading to Beggars Hall
(it does say private road but we are obviously allow to use it !). Follow the road to the house and the lake it to the right.
Park on the grass next to the field on the left ... there is a sign post!

Hall Farm - Great Hallingbury

How to get there
From the M11 Roundabout(Bishops Stortford) take theB1256 (old A120) to Dunmow.
At the Esso station on the left take the road opposite to GreatHallingbury.
Follow the road (past the Beggars Hall fishery) all the way to Great Hallingbury.
Just after the village hall the raod goes into a dip, at the bottom of the dip on the right there is a gate
which is the entrance to the fishery.

Mirrors, Commons, Crucian & F1 hybrid Carp, Roach, Rudd. Gudgeon & Barbel.

Turnford Lakes

How to get there
From the roundabout at Turnford next to the colledge head towards Turnford and Broxbourne.
When in Turnford there is a road on the right called Slipe Lane .. take this turning and followit
for approx 1 mile until you see the sign for Turnford Lakes on the right. Follow this track until you arrive at the car park
