Many thanks to all who fished the match which raised over £100 for the BHF
Gary's day
It was a hot and sunny day with the F1s driving everyone nuts cruising up and down the middle but showing no interest in feeding until later on. Peg 18 was my spot for the day - half way along the dam bank. It was slow start sneaking a couple early on along the margins on paste but it was hard work and they really did not want to be on the bottom. After flogging the water to death with a waggler for while trying to persuade some of the cruisers to feed it was time to try something else. Out came some groundbait and by feeding small balls of slop a couple of fish paused long enough to be caught and it was a different peg. I had a great run of fish in the second half of the match and finished with just over 76lbs for a win.
