Phil's day

Good morning to all - the Weds club fished its match on Beggar's Hall this week. It promised to be a good day with no rain and mild temperatures. I drew peg 12 not a good peg but it has turned up a few weights in the summer months. I made up two lines on pole, one at 10 meters and the margin, and, of course, a feeder for long distance. I fed my pole lines with pellet and maggots and for the margins tried the same with a cup full of groundbait . Went out on the feeder to start with and within ten minutes had my first and only carp to weigh 6lb 10 oz.
