Phil's day

Hi to all, the Weds club fished Beggars Hall club lake. It was a baking hot day with a slight breeze and most knew it was going to be hard fishing. I drew peg 19, it's quite a good peg so spirits were high. After a couple hours of absolutely nothing my spirits were not so high. I tried the pole and the waggler and the feeder - nothing. So I sat it out and eventually the feeder pulled round for my first carp about 6lbs. I decided this was the way forward so stayed with the feeder till half a hour before the match finished. I could hear and see fish moving in the margin so I went down there on my pole and got one on sweetcorn. It was about 9 lbs and so ended my day. I weighed in 15lb 11oz with 2 fish

1st Peter Green with 24lbs 2oz , 2nd Terry Moranda with 23lbs 14oz, 3rd Tony Parker with 23lbs 9oz and 4th Phil Whitmill with 15lbs 11oz. Well done to all
