Phil's day

Hi all, fished the 5th round of our winter league on Hall Farm on Weds. The weather conditions were awful - the wind was relentless and made things very hard. I drew peg 9 not the best place to be this time of the year. It was going to be a feeder rod with the exception of a margin rig on pole. Fished various baits all day but nothing. In a last 20 minute desperate attempt to catch I cast half way across the lake and got one - it was a half decent carp and fought it right to the landing net and lost it so ended my day with my 4th blank of the season. It was a bad day for most with 8 anglers out of 13 blanking. Well done to those that did catch

1st Stephen Foster with 26lbs 13oz, 2nd John Todd with 12lbs 1oz, 3rd Peter Green with 11lbs 15 oz, 4th Terry Moranda with 6 lbs 3 oz 5th Dave Fuller with 1oz. Photo of the day is peg 9 - this was taken before the wind picked up and the waves rolled in.
