Good morning to all, the Weds Club fished its inter club match against Abbey Cross on their Taylor's Lake. It was a very cold start to the day with frost and ice on the lake. We had a low turnout mainly due to a wave of bad colds.
I drew peg 23. Not a bad peg but with the conditions I was hoping for a bite it was going to be a hard day. I fed just two lines on pole both at 10 meters but a left and a right. I fed a very small amount of groundbait with red maggots and micro pellets this got me a bite and a small perch so no blank for me today. I carried on trying both lines but that was it end result was half an ounce and that won me the match and Bishop's Stortford the win with 11 points to nil. 1st Phil Whitmill 0.5oz. Pic is my peg and next to me Martin Adams the A/C captain.
