River Stort update

With just under a month now until the river close season (last day is 14 March and no fishing again until 16 June) a quick reminder that the Stort is a classed as a river.

If you are thinking about heading out please take care. We have had a lot of rain recently and the river has been in flood a number of times. This is causing erosion to some of the banks so please be very careful and make sure that the bank you are stepping on is not undercut.

If you come across an area of damaged bank can you please let us know so that we can report this to the Canal & River Trust to add to their repair list. If you use the What3Words app that will give us a really good location to pass on to the CRT.

This is what part of the bank in Stortford looks like at the moment.
