Watch out for invaders

You might have seen some press in the last couple of years about Asian Hornets or "murder hornets" in the US and the lengths they are going to to stop their spread. They are not alone and they are slowly getting a foothold in the south east with quite a few confirmed sightings and nests dealt with last Autumn in Kent.


This is what they look like:




If you do spot any or their nests please let us know - honsec@bsdas.org.uk. Do not try and deal with a nest yourselves - these need to be tackled by a professional.
