Phil's day
Hi all, the Weds club fished its monthly interclub against Abbey Cross at Beggars Hall. It was always going to be tough for most and good for a very few and it fished pretty much as expected. I drew peg 14 it's a very little used peg so I already knew what laid in store for me. I set up for silvers instead of carp and fished most of my day for them. I kept busy for most of the day but knew I would not be able to compete with the odd 4 or 5 good pegs. I weighed in with 2lbs 13oz which put me about 7th
1st Bill Beeston with 35lbs 5oz, 2nd Ray Gibson with 35lbs 1oz , 3rd John Carter with 18lbs 6oz and 4th Peter Green with 8lbs 15oz. Well done to all on a very tough day.
In a tight finish Abbey Cross took the day with 62 points to Bishop's Stortford's 58.
