Phil's day

Morning to all, I fished our charity match at Hall farm on Saturday, I drew peg 5 in itself it's a good peg but I struggled all day with a few roach and rudd the match finished at 3.30 and I hooked and landed a 6lb carp in the last 4 minutes, at least the charity had a good result with over £300 so in the long run it was a good match.

Gary's day

It fished pretty hard today with so many on the lake. There were lots of carp and F1s cruising around from the off but they really did not want to feed and any shadow from your pole had them heading off at high speed away from it. I ended up fishing down pretty much the same spot all day out at 13 metres. Feeding a few 4mm and 6mm pellets and either trying to get a fish shallow (not very successfully) or on the bottom - a little better but with far too many fish being lost.

Dave over on peg 1 was having fun and games with the carp charging off at high speed for the lilies every time he hooked one but fish were few and far between on the low bank it seemed. Over to my right I could hear plenty of splashing and assumed it was Martin bagging up on favoured peg 26 in the corner. It turned out there were 2 of them doing well that way down the lake with Kevin getting a fair few.
