Good day to all, the Weds club fished its pairs match at Hall Farm it was a delayed match because we had a Covid case a few weeks ago.

We had 6 pairs enter and we did one bank against the other. I myself, being the odd number, had a pleasure day away from the other anglers. The lake fished hard for most although there were some good weights as you will see but that's winter fishing. I sat down on peg 13, not known as a good peg, and fished with two rods - a wag and mag rod for silvers and a feeder rod for carp. Had my first fish a carp within the first hour about the 3lbs mark and every hour after that produced a carp of same size. The wag was used for across to some rushes and produced about 6lbs of silvers - all in all a good day.

Match results are 1st Gary Pickard and Tony Parker with 22 points, 2nd Jeff Pearson and Peter Green with 18 points, joint 3rd Fred Hunt and Dave Fuller and Ray Gibson and Tony Cruci with 16 points. Pic today is Gary Pickard.
