Phil's day

Good morning to all, the Weds club fished its club lake at Hall Farm, as it turned out it was the coldest day of the winter so far made worse by the windchill. We had a few people off with chills but still managed 10 anglers so plenty of room between pegs. I drew peg 4 on the low bank, what a relief didn't fancy the steps on the high bank at all. I made up three lines one at 6 meters, the margins ad a feeder. I was so cold I started off on the feeder so I could put my hands in my pockets as my gloves seemed to have gone missing since last year - probably put them somewhere safe.

Started off on red maggots in a open ended cage feeder and stayed with this for the whole day. It was half an hour before my first bite for a carp of about 4lb very happy with that then it was a carp every 45 minutes with no lost carp. I weighed in 31lbs 10oz so not such a bad day as I original thought it might be.
