Phil's day

Hi to all , the Weds club fished Hall Farm club lake. It was a flat calm at first but by the time the whistle went 15 to 20 mph winds got up. I drew peg 12 a good peg but patchy and baited up a couple of areas for the pole and feeder for along the rushes. Feeder was going to be my preferred method today because of the wind and it was forecast for it to increase. I only had a half bite but struck it anyway. By lunch time I decided to brave the winds and use the pole at 13 meters - got my first carp at 2 ish and my other carp at 3 pm and, apart from half a dozen roach and rudd, that was it for me. Weighed in 9lbs 15oz.

First Bill Beeston with a winning weight of 55lbs 2oz, 2nd Steve Foster with 24lbs 11oz , 3rd Fred Hunt with 21lbs 14oz and 4th Jeff Pearson with 13lbs 7oz. Well done to all on a very difficult day. Pic is peg 12.
