Phil's day
Hi everyone, fished the interclub match against Abbey Cross on Weds. It was held on their club lake in Nazeing. This lake is an all or nothing lake - very peggy as are most lakes are at the moment. I drew peg 21 - not fished it before but its in the right area. I had taken 2 sets of rods; 1 heavy for the big carp and 1 a bit lighter in case they were a bit shy. Started off at 30 odd meters with my heavy rod with a large method feeder and while this was waiting to work started to pult out pellet for my up in the water rods. To cut a dull day down I blanked - did not have a bite not even a liner but peg 22 next to me had 108lbs casting down to a bay on his left. Well done to all even though we lost a good effort was made by the team
