Be careful when feeder/ledger fishing !

I have had several reports recently regarding anglers losing their rods when feeder/ledger fishing. Please ensure you either have a baitrunner reel that allows line to come off the reel before you strike OR have the clutch on your reel slack enough OR bale arm open to let line go rather than your rod! Even quite a small carp/F1 has enough power to pull in a rod.

Any rods that are recovered from any of the lakes I will post a message on the website with details. If you have already lost a rod then please email me with the details of the rod & reel and on what lake.
