Work underway at Wickham - update

Updated: May 28

The work to create a proper path around the lake at water level and some much gentler slopes down is now well underway.

The work is going well with the path surface now on a couple of sides and getting a good flattening (you should be able to see our contractor Mick on a road roller in the background below). Fingers crossed we should be done this week.

The lake should still be able to remain open for fishing but please keep well away from the work areas and please pay attention to any requests from our Contractors. They have control of the lake to make sure the works are carried out safely.

Please note it may be necessary to close the lake on short notice if the works underway make it unsafe for people to be there - there is a lot of type 1 to be moved to top off the paths and just the one gateway to the lake.
