Some examples of what not to use

Following on from resent Blog posts here are a couple of examples of what we should not be seeing on Club waters.
This feeder rig was up a tree at Peg 14 on MBL. This is not a free running rig as the split shot up the mainline from the feeder was clamped on so hard it formed a fixed/bolt rig. The main line was also pretty thin for a feeder rig.

This second rig was in the rushes between pegs 18 and 19 at Beggar's Hall and looked like it had been cast over from peg 4. Firstly, casting across the lake to the far side impinges on other people's fishing - please do not do this. This rig ended up breaking on the mainline given the heavy braided hooklength so there was a large amount of line trailing in the water. Yes braided hooklengths are not permitted. The drop off lead was also not very drop off - the swivel was wedged hard in the sleeve and took a real pull to separate it as did the silicone sleeve for a lead release. As you can see from yje 1p near the hook that hair was never designed for a single 8mm dumbbell shaped boilie which is the limit on Club waters. Pretty much a 10 out of 10 for what a rig should not look like on BSDAS waters.

This last one was from the reed bed near peg 2 at Hall - I leave you to your own thoughts on this
